    Best Shrimp Recipe- Athena Shrimp

Every year Athena Shrimp is what I ask my husband to cook for my birthday. It is my absolute favorite seafood dish. The flavors from the bitterness of the feta cheese to the juiciness of the grape tomatoes mix together extremely well. The best part is any one can make it in under 30 minutes from start to finish. If you like a little more basil you can chose the tomato basil feta cheese as an option. It is loaded with protein from the shrimp and feta cheese and tons of antioxidants from the tomatoes. It’s a win win dish all the way around. Here are the quick details on…

    Nashville’s The Nations and More

One place in Nashville, that I have always wanted to visit is the beautiful murals in The Nations. I had only seen pictures of them in news articles but never in person. Truthfully, I had no idea where The Nations were and how to get there. So it was such a surprise to me when we decided to try Frothy Monkey and one of their locations was in The Nations and right next to these famous murals. WIN WIN!  These beautiful masterpieces did not disappoint. The detail and skill that went into these magnificent murals are a must see for anyone new or old to Nashville. To read about the…

Intense Outdoor Workout on Nashville’s Capital Hill

We had the day off on Labor Day my hubby and I decided to take our workout to the beautiful city of Nashville. We needed a challenge and Capital Hill didn’t disappoint. This workout is filled with stairs, spiderman climbers, pop pushups, hill sprints, bear crawls up a hill, and a heck of a good time. It was a great 45 minutes Let’s take a minute to discuss that hill shall we. I think it should be renamed, Cardiac Hill. Oh my goodness what a steep hill it is, I felt every beat of my heart in my neck with that one and those spiderman pushups….. I am still feeling my core from…

    It’s My Birthday

August 27th, today is my birthday! I have always loved this day- it is the day where everyone makes you feel so special. Everybody’s taking a minute out of their busy schedules to wish you a Happy Birthday, acknowledging you, and just making you feel so darn good about life. I could never understand why some people dread their birthdays. This is the one day craved out of 365 days that is dedicated solely to you. No matter how you feel your life is right now, at that moment of your first breathe you were loved and your parents had so many hopes and dreams for you. Now, if you…

Healthy & Simple Crock pot Beef Burrito Bowl

Late summer into fall, we usually cook a lot of meals in the slow cooker. It helps with those later evenings or just a busy schedule. I love cooking healthy recipes but I also like simplicity. Nashville’s Famous Pedestrian Bridge

Today we ventured out to the John Seigenthlaer Pedestrian Bridge near the Titan Stadium, but little did we know all the parking is blocked off when the Titans are planning (make a note of that). A little sweet talking to one of the parking attendants and he lets us have 20 minutes to run to the bridge, take quick stroll and get back to move our car. We got some great photos on the famous Batman Building while we were there. I have run the Color Run across this bridge but never got to enjoy the beauty of the skyline while I was on it. A little fact for you,…
